     What moves heaven and earth without imposing force, what makes the unseen gods and demons alike feel pathos, softens also relations between men and women, and soothes the hearts of fierce warriors, is poetry/song.

い づ れ か 歌 を 詠 ま ざ り け る 。 力 を も 入 れ ず し て 天 地 を 動 か し 、 目 に 見 え ぬ 鬼 神 を も あ は れ と 思 は せ 、 男 ・ 女 の 中 を も や は ら げ 、 猛 き 武 士 の 心 を も な ぐ さ む る は 歌 な り 。
